Wow, if I am to give a testimonial to Broadhead Kennels, let me lead off by
tipping my hat to a German system designed to create the best versatile gun dogs on the
planet. In my opinion, the effort put forth by the German Wirehair to create and maintain high quality
versatile hunting dogs enhances the sport of hunting.....

Just over a year ago I purchased a German Wirehair puppy from Broadhead Kennels. I can honestly say that Randy and Karen have a top notch facility. Throughout the first 8-10 weeks I was updated on my dogs progress and was often sent pictures of Duke. Randy had always told me that I would find the German Wirehair to be easy to train. I had never owned or trained a dog prior to Duke. This held true, Duke was extremely easy to train .I would often call Randy for training tips and pointers. Randy and Karenís enthusiasm and love for their dogs is evident at their kennel. I would recommend Broadhead Kennel to anyone looking to have a truly versatile hunting dog.

We are really enjoying our new family member. Holly was hunting within 3 days of her arrival and did great. She retrieved 7 ducks that first day. Since then she has hunted ducks 7 times and doves once. She has retrieved really well--every time we go she learns something new. She has retrieved about 40 ducks and 5 doves so far. She pointed some snipe (but I missed). Her next feat will be the southern Nevada waterfowl opener from the canoe--we have been training from the canoe and she is getting the hang of it. I expect to do some chukar hunting with her soon. She is a really nice dog--not aggressive toward our dachshund or visiting children and well-mannered.
